This programme is designed for students who are considering a career in Business and Enterprise along with developing their digital skills. Students will study a wide range of units including Marketing, Finance, Understanding Business, Business Formation and IT (including word processing, spreadsheets and database). This course is suitable for a wide variety of candidates including school leavers, and mature learners looking to return to education to build up a skill set in this multidiscipline vocational area.

Qualifications

Upon successful completion, candidates will achieve the following awards;

  • NPA Business Skills at SCQF Level 6
  • NPA Enterprise and Business at SCQF Level 6
  • NPA Business with Information Technology at SCQF Level 6

Delivery

The course is full-time with delivery on campus over three days, for 36 weeks. There will be some hybrid learning opportunities and this will be flexible throughout the delivery.

Entry requirements

Applications should have 3 relevant National 5 qualifications or be progressing from a similar college course at Level 5.Applicants with no formal qualifications will be considered on an individual basis and their applications or enquiries are encouraged.

  • HNC Travel and Tourism at Borders College (Subject to availability)

Applications will be reviewed by the curriculum team and candidates will be invited to interview to follow up on the information contained within to confirm suitability. A full, detailed personal statement is important at this stage. Candidates are provided with the opportunity to ask further questions about the course and college support services at the interviews.
