HND Counselling is designed to provide the opportunity to further develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes relevant to the theory and skills practice of working with people and counselling within an encouraging and supportive environment. This qualification covers areas such as essential counselling skills, knowledge of theories and professional values.A placement is an essential part of the HND (Year 2) where you will be expected to undertake 100 hours of counselling.

SCQF Level 8 HND Counselling
Delivery
Full time 36 weeks - 2 twilight sessions per week, 3pm - 9pm plus attendance at regular Saturday workshops. Atleast 100 hours on Counselling Work Placement is also required.

Entry requirements
HNC in Counselling. Applicants will need to evidence learning ability through the submission of a short written reflective task (500 words) that will be set by the college.

Universtiy or Employment in mental health and voluntary sectors.
