This course is designed to provide learners with a hairdressing qualification, reflective of the skills required by industry and will prepare learners for further study within this vocational area. Students will study a wide range of units including Creatively, Set, Style, Dress and Finish Hair using Advanced Technique, Provide Hair Colour Corrective Services and Combine Hairdressing Cutting Techniques to Create a Bespoke Restyled Look.
TheNC in Hairdressing is suitable for a wide range of candidates including those who have recently left school and adult learners returning to education.
Qualifications
Upon successful completion, candidates will achieve the following awards;
- NCin Hairdressing at SCQF Level 6
Delivery
The course is full-time with delivery on campus over three days, for 36 weeks.

Entry requirements
Learners would benefit from having attained the skills, knowledge and understanding from relevant qualifications in Hairdressing at SCQF Level 5 and 6 or progressing from a college course in the same area.

Application and Interview Process
Applications will be reviewed by the curriculum team and candidates will be invited to interview to follow up on the information contained within to confirm suitability. A full, detailed personal statement is important at this stage. Candidates are provided with the opportunity to ask further questions about the course and college support services at the interviews.
