This full time course will introduce the skills necessary for the modern professional Civil Engineering Technician. Plan, design and build the infrastructure such as roads, rail, airports, water and power systems needed for the future. Qualifications

National Certificate in Civil Engineering (SCQF level 6)

Delivery

Delivery will be 2 1/2 days per week, with a mixture of classroom, computer lab and practical training. The course however, is predominantly theory work.

3 Nat 5 qualification or equivalent, with at least one to be in maths or science subject.

Career Prospects

The following topics will be covered.Materials, site work, technology, CAD, Surveying, Health and safety, mathematics, mechanics, ground works, Environmental and sustainable construction.
