Childhood Practice - HND YR 2

The qualification is for learners who have a childcare practitioner qualification and wish to develop their professional practice so they are able to provide better outcomes for children and young people. The course includes units on pedagogical approaches policy initiatives; leadership team working and collaborative practice leaders can potentially progress to study childhood proactive qualifications at SCOV level 9 The early years assessments are SVQ Social Services: Children and Young People, SVQ Play work, HNC Childhood Practice , HNC Social Services , HNC Early Education and Childcare and HNC Additional Support Needs


Hospitality - HNC

This course has been designed to prepare students for a career in the Hospitality and Tourism sector. Core subjects of study include Hospitality Industry, Hospitality Supervision, Hospitality: Financial and Control Systems, Food Hygiene Intermediate, Food and Beverage Service, Event Organisation, Marketing and E-commerce Part of your study will be self-directed on line. Through undertaking a work experience placement, students have the opportunity to consolidate new skills and knowledge developed throughout their course.


Manufacturing Engineering NC at SCQF Level 6

The NC qualification equips learners with a major requirement of the Modern Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering. The NC is in effect, a third of what is needed to complete the MA thereby giving those who complete the programme successfully an advantage in securing an apprenticeship and then full-time employment. The NC will provide the opportunity to study Mechanical Engineering at higher education level where you could achieve either an HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering, or else a Bachelor of Engineering degree.


Travel and Tourism - HNC

This course has been designed to prepare students for a career in the Tourism sector. Core subjects of study include Structure of the Travel and Tourism Industry, Applying Marketing Principles in Travel and Tourism, Creating a Culture of Customer Care, Preparation for Employment in Travel and Tourism, Event Organisation, E-commerce and the Scottish Tourism Industry Part of your study will be self-directed on line. Through undertaking a work experience placement, students have the opportunity to consolidate new skills and knowledge developed throughout their course.
