Equality, diversity and inclusion
The College works to ensure that it meets its general duties under the Equality Act 2010 to eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation, to advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations between people who are more likely to experience discrimination and those who are not. These principles influence its planning, policy development and curriculum design. You will see them reflected in the documents detailed below and in the College’s approach to all who use the College’s services.
Each year the College publishes an Equality and Diversity Annual Report which reports on the year’s activity, the College’s staffing profile and analyses the admissions, enrolments and results of its students to see whether there is any correlation between these and certain protected characteristics. You can view the latest reports in the College Documents Section of this website under Reports. Please click here.
The College is a supportive environment and has many specialist services to meet learners’ additional needs.

Investors in Diversity
The College is working towards becoming an Investor in Diversity. To this end it has surveyed learners, staff, and other stakeholders views on how good the College is as an inclusive organisation. From the responses the College is now developing an action plan that will be incorporated in its Single Equality Scheme.
