Course Introduction

Employers strongly recognise the need for sharp, flexible, focused education, skills and training at a high level. The delivery of this programme has been designed to enable staff currently working in a business environment to achieve the essential skills and knowledge for a range of administrative roles. This course has been designed to enable students to embrace the administrative challenges in a business environment. Core subjects of study include Digital Technologies for Administrators, Office Administration, IT in Business (Spreadsheets, Databases, Word Processing and Presentations), Personal Development Planning, Communications and Recording Financial Transactions.

Part-time 39 week course over 2 years 1 evening per week – Tuesday from 5 pm – 9 pm (4 hours)

Entry Requirements

You should have excellent administration and IT skills along with good communication skills. You should be able to demonstrate effective team working and the ability to work independently when required.

In general, entry will be open to any applicant who can demonstrate, by formal qualification or relevant industrial experience, a reasonable expectation of successfully completing the course.

The HNC AIT is an ideal qualification for continuous professional development for those working in an administrative/supervisory role or for anyone seeking to enter employment in this area. Successful completion of the qualification may also allow you to progress to a range of degree programmes.
