Welcome to our Students' Association
Borders College Students’ Association is a student-run organisation whose purpose is to represent and support Borders College students. A team of elected student representatives (the Executive team) work on your behalf to identify issues that affect students and draw them to the College’s attention. They will run campaigns, challenge college policy and ensure they have representation on every Faculty Council Meeting to ensure your voice is being heard. Our door is always open so if you are experiencing any difficulties at college, get in touch or pop into the office. It’s our job to listen and to help, whatever the issue. If we can’t help directly, we can always refer you to someone who can.
When you enrol on a Borders College course, you automatically become a member of the Students’ Association. You can opt-out by emailing email@example.com, but why would you? Your membership is free and gives you access to some great sources of support. It also enables you to apply for an NUS card which provides a range of student discounts across a number of high street retailers.
Whether it’s being a Class Rep, Faculty Chair, Executive Member, Sabbatical Officer or even just volunteering a few hours in the office, there’s loads of ways to get involved with your Students’ Association! Simply get in touch and we’ll take it from there.
