Jayne Gracie, Head of Faculty for Care and Access, opened the ceremony by congratulating the students on all of their hard work throughout the year, as well as thanking the various staff members for their behind-the-scenes contribution and overall support of their students.
Vice Principal for Curriculum, Heather Anderson, presented certificates of achievement at the ceremony, which was also attended by students’ friends and family.
Each student group was given the opportunity to create and deliver a presentation highlighting their various successes across the previous year. The creative presentations included ‘yearbook’ style profiles and photos of classmates, as well as an overview of the various fundraising activities and excursions that took place.
Jayne Gracie said: “Thank you to all of you for getting involved in today’s celebration – you have really highlighted the friendships and camaraderie behind being part of a large group working towards a common goal.”
The ceremony concluded on a fun note with some motivational music chosen by the students – popular graduation song, Hannah Montana’s “Wherever I Go”.
