College Students Raise £205 for Local Charity

As part of the Care National 5/Higher course at Borders College, students are required to raise awareness of a care-related issue or raise funds for a charity. The Group B class decided that raising funds for a local charity would not only give something back to the Scottish Borders community, but at the same time increase awareness of their chosen charity – Callum’s Trust.

 Callum’s Trust.

Callum’s Trust provides resources and equipment to people in the Scottish Borders who are receiving treatment for lymphoma, leukaemia, and myeloma or for those that are sadly battling cancer at the end stages of life at home. The class felt that this particular charity is very important to the region and does a fantastic job.

The students raised an impressive £205 by selling copies of “The Callum’s Trust Home Baking Book” which features recipes from local people within the Scottish Borders.
