College welcomes new Director of Business Improvement and Performance
Borders College are delighted to welcome on board our new Director of Business Improvement and Performance, Janet Robertson, who will be starting officially at the College in January 2018. Janet will have responsibility for leading the HR, Quality and MIS teams within the College, as well as strategic business improvement measures and outcome agreement projects.
Converting the Scottish Government outcome agreements into actionable and achievable targets for Borders College is one of the main challenges that Janet is looking forward to.
Janet commented: “My approach to all of these ‘meaty’ tasks is one of taking a collaborative, balanced and process led approach which involves all the key stakeholders in order that we are all aiming for the same goal with a sense of common purpose.”
Janet, who currently works for Quality Scotland as the Director of Learning, Training and Development, lives in Edinburgh and plans to commute to College daily using the Borders Railway.
Angela Cox, College Principal commented: “We are delighted to have Janet joining us and I’m very confident that her skillset will only enhance and complement the work already done here at Borders College.”
Excited to start at the College in January, Janet is keen to help develop and enhance the collaborative approach already established within the College, along with her with leadership and project management ethos that she brings to the post.
In her spare time Janet enjoys all kinds of live music and has attended over twenty Bruce Springsteen concerts! This along with her passion for tap dancing is the perfect way for Janet to relax and unwind.
