Caring for People with Dementia

There are currently an estimated 850,000 people with Dementia in the UK with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025; this will soar to 2 million by 2051.

1 in 6 people over the age of 80 have dementia and 225,000 people will develop dementia this year, that’s one every three minutes.*

It is quite possible that you know someone who has Dementia but do you know how to help them to manage everyday situations?  This course will help you to recognise the signs of Dementia and to identify strategies and skills to help meet the needs of individuals.  Equally important, family, friends and carers will find ways of coping with the stresses associated with caring for people with Dementia.
