College students are Baristas in the making
Borders College has seen its latest group of Catering and Hospitality students successfully complete additional qualifications during their course of study. This time, five Level 2 Professional Cookery students have achieved their Barista Skills level 2 Certificate, awarded by City & Guilds.
The Barista Skills certificate course is offered to Level 2 and 3 Catering and Hospitality students as an add-on qualification that they can complete during their time at College, and it is up to the students themselves whether they would like to do so.
This practical training, which sees the students learn how to professionally create and present various hot and cold beverages, can enhance the students’ employability by providing them with additional skills for their CVs.
