Heather Anderson (Vice Principal Curriculum) accompanied Clare Nairn (Head of Student Services), Cameron Reith (Marketing Manager) and Rachel Macdougall (Marketing Officer) to a glamorous awards dinner held this year at Ghillie Dhu, Edinburgh.
The College’s bronze winning entry was based on a Marketing campaign during the 2015/16 academic year, which was tailor-made to take advantage of the opportunities afforded the College by the opening of the Borders Railway. The Marketing team began to reach out on a regular basis to high schools in the Lothians area, with particular focus on those close to the Borders Railway, establishing a relationship with high school guidance staff as well as Skills Development Scotland staff, promoting Borders College as a real further and higher education option for people in the Lothians.
Cameron Reith – Marketing Manager commented: “We were delighted to have been shortlisted and being up against some of the bigger colleges in Scotland was always a daunting prospect (Dundee & Angus and Glasgow Clyde College). However, to be recognised for our integrated marketing campaign at a national level is something we can all be extremely proud of.”
