Give your wellbeing a boost with a Community class
Maybe you’re looking to brush up on your technology skills, or perhaps you want to learn more about your family history? If this is you, a Community Day or Evening Class could be just what you are looking for.
September 2019 sees the start of a new Borders College Community Learning programme, offering a wide range of day and evening courses ranging from certificate classes to leisure classes, such as Creating Cushions, Emergency First Aid at Work (REHIS), French Stage 1 & 2 and a variety of staged computer based courses. Our Community Provision is delivered at Borders College locations across the Scottish Borders, so there’s always a site close to you.
The College is continually developing the Community Day and Evening Provision, and with over 60 courses on offer, there’s plenty for you to choose from. If you want to learn new computing skills, which could improve your chances of employment, or learn a new language, then look no further. Through the Family Provision you could also bring along your children and have some fun with Kids Face Painting or Clay Workshop - Christmas Plate Decorating for Kids. If this appeals to you, the Community Day and Evening Provision could be just the thing.
Studying on the Community courses can also be very rewarding, with students gaining new skills and qualifications, while also meeting new people along the way. Recent comments showed that students enjoyed the flexibility and the relaxed atmosphere of classes. So if you are looking to build that cabinet you’ve always wanted or produce your own honey, and to have some fun along the way, take a look at our College Community Day and Evening courses by following the link below:
