Local radio presenter and farming pundit Doug Niven, from Radio Borders, was at the Hawick Campus to record a series of programmes to be aired twice daily on the radio.
Head of Faculty – Kenny Thomson along with Programme Leaders Andrew Johnson, Andy Winwood, Renewables and Plumbing Lecturer – Tom Ramage and Short Course coordinator Susan Rennie were interviewed on a variety of topics from how renewables can benefit the farming industry to an update on current landbased activity and students successes. Kenny Thomson gave an overview of the college in general and Susan Rennie spoke about the vast range of short courses available to benefit the farming industry.
The series of ten interviews will be broadcast from Thursday 23 February until Wednesday 7 March each day from 6.40 am and repeated at 12.45 pm. So tune in and hear what the team had to say.
We would like to thank Doug for taking time to come and speak with staff at Borders College and help spread the word.
