Stuart scores for Scotland against Wales
Former BASE Rugby student Stuart Hogg scored his first try against Wales but the try was disallowed when the referee deemed Stuart to have knocked the ball forward. The TV replay clearly showed that this was not the case and the try should have been allowed as the BBC commentators were more that happy to point out.

Despite this Stuart kept his head up and played 'out of his yellow boots' and in the 62nd minute of the game made his way to the try line once again to be denied a try but the phase of play allowed Greg Laidlaw to cross the line and score for Scotland.
Shane Williams, the Welsh rugby legend commenting on the game, said “Stuart Hogg has surely booked his first team place for the next Scotland Game”.
"the way he came on and took to the game was pleasing. Stuart played really well and looked very comfortable today. I’m delighted with the way he played". Andy Robinson - Scotland Coach (13 Feb).
"Hogg looked every inch an international player in the making, having replaced Max Evans after only 15 minutes to become the first teenager since Gregor Townsend 19 years ago to play for Scotland". - The HeraldScotland Online (13 Feb).
BASE Rugby Programme leader, Richie Gray said “We are hoping to have a meeting with Stuart at the Scottish Borders Campus next week and personally congratulate him".
