Students wow the ladies at the Woll

The Level 2 A Beauty Therapy students were involved in a Ladies who Lunch Pamper Day at the Woll Ashkirk recently. The students planned the Event so that each of the ladies could receive a taste of the treatments that we offer at the College.

The ladies were treated from 'Top to Toe' with Skin Analysis, Make-up Lessons, File and Polish and a relaxing Foot Massage. Each of the ladies were also given a Dermalogica goodie bag with samples and a directory. Many of the ladies commented on how high a standard of treatment they had received and were very happy with their treatments.

Liesa Hamilton the course tutor for the group said that “I felt very proud of all the students, they acted in a very professional manner and really made the most of the opportunity to promote the College Services, I’m sure many of the ladies will book into the Salon”

To thank the students, Nick the owner at the Woll gave each student a voucher to put towards lunch at the Woll and also gave a generous donation towards the students charity of choice.

Emma Smith the Functions Manager said "We wanted to provide our lady members with something a bit different, giving them the opportunity to have some “me” time and experience something they may not have tried before. With the help of the Borders College students and their lecturer we certainly did that! The event was a massive success and exceeded all our expectations. The students were both professional and knowledgeable, and it was hard to believe they were only in their second year! Many of our members had never been to a salon before and were a little apprehensive, but the students created such a warm, friendly and relaxing environment that even the most nervous of ladies took part. The atmosphere in the Clubhouse has been buzzing since Friday, and I have been inundated with positive feedback and ladies asking how quickly the students can come back! I would like to thank the students and their lecturer for all their hard work on the day, and for helping us create such a fantastic afternoon, one that we will certainly remember. I would love to run similar events on a more regular basis, and the students we had on the day will definitely be my first port of call. I think you will definitely have gained some new clients as a result of Friday, and I can’t wait to welcome you back to New Woll Estate!”
