Calendar Girls
Borders College Level III Hairdressing girls have raised an amazing £635 for the Lavender Touch charity through sales of their 2010 Calendar. The charity provides complimentary treatments for people who have cancer in the Scottish Borders and the money raised will go towards over 40 treatments.
The Lavender Touch aims to provide aromatherapy as a complimentary therapy alongside medical treatments and uses essential oils to aid health and well being. These treatments can help people at every stage of their condition. Being diagnosed with cancer is an extremely anxious period and aromatherapy can reduce some of the feeling of anxiety as well as helping people manage with some of the side effects of the cancer treatments.

The students would like to thank everyone who bought a calendar and who contributed to the fund raising.
