Course Content

Our course will help novice users recognise and reduce those dangers. You will also learn how to optimise performance and carry out routine maintenance.


Morning Session: Equipment Maintenance Essentials

The morning will focus on practical maintenance skills to keep your machinery running smoothly and safely. Topics include:

  • Cleaning and replacing spark plugs, air filters, fuel filters, oil, and oil filters (where applicable)
  • Identifying and servicing grease points
  • Lubricating levers, cables, and other moving components
  • Sharpening blades (where suitable; some may require specialist services)
  • Changing strimmer heads or blades
  • Cleaning procedures and preparing equipment for winter storage

Afternoon Session: Safety & Strimmer Use


In the latter part of the day, we will cover key health and safety considerations followed by hands-on instruction in the safe and effective use of strimmers.
