Qualifications
Who are they for?Those employed in the Childcare sector e.g. Play-workers, Nursery Practitioners and Childminders. SSCYP SVQs are the recommended qualifications for workers having to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)SVQ 2 @ SCQF level 6 is mostly suited to Support Workers and AssistantsSVQ 2 consists of 6 units. Candidates can opt for an e-portfolio or a paper version
Delivery
Where do they take place?At your workplace, your Borders College Assessor will guide you every step of the way, visiting regularly and providing personalised tutoring and support. College premises in Borders & Edinburgh and other venues are often used for meeting up, or to access computer and library facilitiesWhen are the start dates?Start dates are all year round! We work with people individually, so start dates are negotiable. Depending upon the level, courses last from 7 months
