Are you interested in joining the Borders College Regional Board?

Borders College Netherdale Campus building

Borders College has one of the best records for learner success in Scotland and makes an essential contribution to the skills needs of the Borders Region and beyond. We are seeking new members to join our dynamic, committed Regional Board to guide and advise at a strategic level through the exciting, and challenging, times ahead. We want you to help us ensure that we build on our success, continue to deliver for learners and make a vital contribution to local and regional communities across the Borders.

We are looking for individuals who share our commitment to providing the best possible learning experience, who can represent the interests of the Borders economy and communities, and would particularly welcome applications from currently under-represented groups. The essential criterion is for you to have an appropriate level of commitment, knowledge and experience to add value to the deliberations and work of the Board.

We welcome applicants from many different backgrounds within the Border's economy as well as those with experience in the wider education, public, private and third sectors.  If you have a background in law, business development, technology or sustainability in particular, we’d love to hear from you.  Never served on a Board before?  We provide induction, mentoring, training and ongoing support to all Board members.

  • Closing date for applications is 5.00pm on 13 October 2023.

  • Please contact Ingrid Earp, Board Secretary, on 07771349106 if you would like an informal chat about the Board and how it works, and the contribution you can make.
