Run by Built Environment - Smarter Transformation (BEST) and South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE), the event looked at the opportunities and support available to those in the low carbon heat installation and technology sector.

The event was introduced by former MSP and now Net Zero Lead (Energy Transition) at SOSE, Paul Wheelhouse, who talked about the importance of the transition to low carbon homes in the region.

Speakers from SNIPEF (Scottish and Northern Ireland Plumbing Employer’s Federation), Skills Development Scotland (SDS), Eildon Housing Association, Borders College, and many more, also talked to delegates about the opportunities available in the sector.

The public and private sector organisations gave an insight into the pipeline of projects in the region that require a robust network of installers with knowledge and skills to deliver low carbon heat and other technologies in new and existing properties.
