This course is ideal for smaller workplaces that present few health and safety risks and is suitable for nominated Emergency First Aiders, or anyone wishing to do a comprehensive one-day first aid course.
Qualifications
An FAIB (First Aid Industry Body) accredited certificate will be awarded on successful completion.

Entry requirements
No formal entry requirements, however we expect 3 hours self study prior to course delivery. Course handbook will be posted out in advance of the course date.

Course Content
Course content includes the following topics:
- Understand the role of a First Aider
- Be able to assess an incident
- Be able to manage a casualty whi is unresponsive and not breathing normally (CPR)
- Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive and breathing casualty (reovery position)
- Be able to manage a casualty whi is in seizure
- Recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
- Manage a casualty with external bleeding
- Understand both the theory and practice of the use of an AED
