Qualifications

Upon successful completion, candidates will achieve the following awards:Foundation Apprenticeship in Business Skills (SCQF Level 6)National Progression Award (NPA) in Business Skills (SCQF Level 6)Selected SVQ Business & Administration Units (SCQF Level 6)

This course is delivered in a blended learning format over 2 days over 28 weeks.Tuesday - Work placement and online assessor support.Thursday - On campus

Entry requirements

Learners are typically expected to be working at SCQF Level 5 or above before starting the course.A good level of English and numeracy is recommended, and prior study of a business-related subject is advantageous but not essential.Previous industry experience is not required, but may be beneficial. Applicants with no formal qualifications will be considered on an individual basis, and their applications or enquiries are encouraged.

Progression opportunities

On successful completion of the course, students may progress to some of the pathways outlined below:Modern Apprenticeship in Business Administration (SCQF Level 6)Further or Higher Education, such as HNC/HND in Business or related subjectsGraduate Apprenticeships or entry-level roles in business administration, customer service, or office support

Candidates will be supported through the application process by their individual schools and applications will be reviewed by the curriculum team following this. A full, detailed personal statement is important at this stage. Candidates are provided with the opportunity to ask further questions about the course and college support services through their various school support teams.
