This course advances learners skills and knowledge in the hospitality inductry. This qualification covers areas such as team leadership, control of resources, team working, workplace health & safety and supervision of a wide range of hospitality areas. Candidates will be immersed in a simulated working environment, welcoming customers from the region for small gatherings and special events.The SCQF Level 7 course in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership is suitable for a wide range of candidates including those who have recently left school and adult learners returning to education.

Upon successful completion, candidates will achieve the following award; SVQ Hospitality Supervision and Leadership SCQF level 7
Delivery
The course is full-time with delivery on campus as per service and preparation requirements, for 36 weeks.

Entry requirements
Learners would benefit from having attained the skills, knowledge and understanding from relevant qualifications in Hospitality at SCQF Level 6 or progressing from a college course in the same area.
Progression opportunities
On successful completion of the course, students may progress to some of the pathways outlined below:further SVQs in the Hospitality and Professional Cookery suite at SCQF level 8employment in the hospitality sector as a team leader, supervisor or trainee manager in the hospitality industry

A full, detailed personal statement is important at this stage. Candidates are provided with the opportunity to ask further questions about the course and college support services at the interviews.
