Level 5 and Level 6 Beauty Therapy students from Borders College recently enjoyed an exciting industry visit to the luxurious Schloss Roxburghe Spa, gaining valuable insight into the professional spa environment.
During their visit, students had the opportunity to explore the spa facilities and experience them first-hand. They were also given a tour of the treatment rooms, providing an insight into the professional standards and working environment within a high-end spa.
The visit also focused on employability within the spa industry, with students learning more about the range of career opportunities available to qualified beauty therapists. They gained an understanding of what employers look for when recruiting and the skills and professional standards required to work within a luxury spa setting.
Students were also introduced to the products and treatments used at Schloss Roxburghe Spa, giving them the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and see how their studies and practical skills can be applied within a commercial environment.

The visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to connect their classroom learning with the professional beauty and spa industry, while gaining inspiration and a greater understanding of the exciting career pathways available to them.
