🗓️ Wednesday, 28 January, 2026

Borders College is getting ready to throw open its doors for one of the most exciting days of the year, the 2026 Open Day, taking place across the Galashiels and Newtown St Boswells campuses!

Thinking about full-time study, an apprenticeship, or a community course? This is your moment to dive in and see what your future could look like. Meet the passionate staff who’ll guide your learning, chat with students who’ve been where you are now, and explore the innovative spaces where ideas and careers take shape.

At Galashiels, you’ll step into a world of possibility, hands-on demonstrations, guided tours, creative showcases and immersive tech experiences, from VR and Esports to construction, beauty, engineering and art.

Over at Newtown, our Landbased Rural Skills campus will be alive with activity. Meet the animals, explore modern agricultural equipment, and discover the environments that bring horticulture, horse care and gamekeeping to life.

Our support teams, Students’ Association, Skills Development Scotland (SDS) and Developing the Young Workforce Borders (DYW) will be there to help you navigate courses, careers, funding and everything in between.

If you’re ready to imagine what’s next and take the first step toward it, this is the day to do it.

Join us on Wednesday, 28 January 2026, and discover your future at Borders College.
