A Level 6 Computing student at Borders College has been sharing her positive experience of studying at the College, highlighting both the variety of the course and the supportive learning environment.
Eleanor Ryman, who is currently studying Computing, explained how the course offers a broad introduction to key areas of the subject, including cybersecurity, networking and programming. She particularly enjoyed the cybersecurity units, describing them as both challenging and rewarding, and highlighting their relevance in today’s digital world.
Eleanor said:
“The course covers lots of different areas, which makes it really interesting. I’ve especially enjoyed cybersecurity as it’s such an important and growing topic. It’s been challenging but also really fun, and everything we learn links together.”
Looking ahead, Eleanor plans to continue her studies and progress to the HNC Computing course, with a particular focus on developing her knowledge in cybersecurity.
Reflecting on her time at Borders College, she praised the support available to students and the welcoming atmosphere across campus.
She added:
“I have never looked back since applying here. The support is amazing and the atmosphere and community really make the College what it is.”
