Borders College is offering FREE Modern Apprenticeship places for young people looking to kickstart their careers while gaining nationally recognised qualifications — all delivered in the workplace!
A Modern Apprenticeship is a structured work-based learning programme that allows individuals to earn while they learn, gaining practical experience and a nationally recognised qualification.
Available Apprenticeship Programmes:
Business and Administration – SCQF Levels 5, 6 & 8
- A Modern Apprenticeship in Business and Administration typically suits individuals working with administrative roles and responsibilities.
Customer Service – SCQF Levels 5 & 6
- A Modern Apprenticeship in Customer Service typically suits individuals working in Retail, Hospitality, Call Centres, Public Services or any role where customer interaction is key.
Management – SCQF Level 7
- A Modern Apprenticeship in Management would suit individuals, such as aspiring or existing managers looking to enhance their leadership and people management skills, whether to upskill, work towards promotion, or gain a qualification for the role they're undertaking.
Who Can Apply?
- Aged 16–19: Eligible for all listed programmes
- Aged 20–24: Eligible only at Management Level 7
