Shape the future of Scotland’s colleges

Should college prepare you for the jobs of tomorrow, help you change career, build your confidence, or give you the support you need to succeed; perhaps it is all the above?

The College Sector of the Future project is looking at how Scotland’s colleges can work better for students, employers, and communities, and how they can be future-proofed to deliver this work for years to come.

However, this can’t happen without hearing directly from students. We want to know what you think needs to change and what should never be lost. What have you found most valuable to your college experience and what would you like to see done to improve things for the students of tomorrow.

The Scottish Funding Council are hosting student workshops, so you can share what works, what isn't working so well, and what you think colleges should look like in years to come. You don’t need to know anything about policy or prepare in advance; just bring your experiences, ideas and honest opinions.

To sign up, please visit College Sector of the Future Student Workshops – Fill in form.

Lunch will be provided to those who are attending in-person.

Those who wish to attend, but feel that travel costs would prohibit this, can contact studentinterests@sfc.ac.uk who can discuss any support available.

If decisions about the future of colleges will affect you, shouldn’t your voice be part of them?
