The Scottish Borders Campus is the home for Borders College and its wide range of education opportunities and for Heriot-Watt University’s higher education provision in the Scottish Borders.
As a result of a groundbreaking co-location project the Campus provides a centre for educational excellence within the Scottish Borders region and allows the College and the University to each benefit from a range of shared facilities while still retaining their own distinct identities.
This shared Campus provides the perfect environment for students and staff, a strong focus for further and higher education within the Scottish Borders community, and helps promote the area as a centre for innovation and progress in education.

Accessible Parking
Scottish Borders Campus has 12 clearly marked and accessible disabled parking bays at the front entrance of the Main Building, Technical Training Centre and High Mill. The main public car park adjacent to the main campus also has disabled parking.

By Road Situated within the heart of Galashiels, Scottish Borders Campus is a one hour drive from Edinburgh. Three major road routes link the Scottish Borders to Central Scotland and the North of England, bringing Carlisle and Newcastle both within easy reach. Some local bus services stop outside the Campus. Distance from Edinburgh 33 miles, Glasgow 69 miles, Newcastle 70 miles.

By Air Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle international airports are all within a one or two hour drive. All airports have direct connections to national and worldwide destinations.
The Restaurant
The student teams are led by a Head Waiter and Head Chef, who are usually 2nd year students. They act in a supervisory role under the auspices of the lecturer.
The Bistro
Our Supported Programmes students operate a regular Bistro as part of their Skills for Learning and Work Course within the Restaurant at Scottish Borders Campus.
